Auction Advisors is often called in to manage and safeguard assets, usually in situations where there is a need for a high level of trust, responsibility, and oversight. These services include both Fiduciary & Receivership services and are typically offered to our clients when individuals, businesses, or organizations face financial difficulties, legal disputes, or other circumstances that require an independent and impartial third party to take control of assets & manage them.

Summary

☑ Trustee Services:

We can act as trustees for trusts, managing and distributing assets according to the terms of the trust document. This can include managing assets for beneficiaries, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and safeguarding assets for the long term.

☑ Estate Administration:

We can oversee the administration of an estate after someone passes away.

☑ Court-Appointed Receivership:

A court may appoint Auction Advisors as a receiver to manage real estate, a business or other assets when there is a dispute, insolvency, or other legal issues. Our role would be to preserve and manage the assets, possibly with the aim of selling them to repay creditors.

☑ Asset Recovery:

Our role very often in the receivership context can be to recover assets that are subject to legal disputes or have been misappropriated.

Assignment: Court-Appointed Receivership

AuctionAdvisors was appointed to serve as Receiver for a company that owned 9 digital billboard opportunities throughout Southern New Jersey. In re: Superior Court of New Jersey, Hunterdon County, Chancery Division. WPC Billboard Lender, LLC, Plaintiff v. Catalyst Outdoor Development, LLC, et. al., Defendants. 

Our role was to maintain the properties, ensure they comply with local ordinances, improve their marketability and eventually conduct a sale.

Assignment: Court-Appointed Receivership

AuctionAdvisors was appointed as the Receiver for the property in anticipation of a foreclosure sale. In this capacity, we undertook several critical responsibilities, notably the eviction of current tenants to facilitate the sale process. Additionally, we implemented a comprehensive environmental cleanup strategy to address any contamination issues on-site, ensuring the property met regulatory standards and was positioned favorably for potential buyers. This dual approach not only streamlined the transition of ownership but also enhanced the property’s marketability in a competitive real estate landscape.
 

Liquor License

Assignment: Court-Appointed Receivership

AuctionAdvisors was appointed as Receiver in a liquor license case, undertaking the task of ensuring compliance and conducting a fair, commercially reasonable sales process. The initial step involved assessing the legal requirements and the current status of the liquor license. A comprehensive market analysis was conducted to determine the fair market value, leading to the development of a sales strategy that included creating detailed documentation and an offering memorandum. Following the sale, final approval was sought from the court, ensuring a smooth transfer of the license to the new owner. Post-sale, a review of the entire process was documented culminating in a final report submitted to the court to detail the compliance achieved and the effectiveness of the sales process.
