VERNON, NJ (USA Today Network) — One of New Jersey’s three remaining skiing venues, Hidden Valley will be placed on auction on Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. at the resort as part of a state court liquidation proceeding for the benefit of creditors, according to New York auction house AuctionAdvisors.
AuctionAdvisors said it was too early to say how much the property might fetch at auction because of the amount of assets included in the package. All bids are subject to U.S. Bankruptcy Court approval. Included in the package are all 140 acres, 25,000 square feet of buildings, 14 ski trails and the resort’s liquor license. The listing says the resort’s annual taxes are $100,000.
